Message from OUR CEO

 

First, we would like to give our Deepest Condolences to The Families and Friends of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, Philando Castle and many other Black Lives whom has been taken due to police brutalities. Though the lives taken from us can never be given back, WE can make a change for Generations to Come.

 As a black man and a black business owner, it’s very challenging to come up with words to say and such tragic times but Our Voices are exactly what NEED to be heard; The change starts with us. It truly breaks my heart to watch what has taken place and what continues to take place. There have been enormous amounts of Protest ALL around the world and WE Applaud YOU and We Stand with YOU! WE have tried several different tactics for generations in attempt to express OUR same frustrations and concerns which clearly have not been heard. We can No Longer be SLIENT. WE have to express ourselves the best way we know how and that’s With OUR VOICES! 

Many have asked what are Black Owned Business doing to make a difference? Though I can’t speak for other Companies I’ve brained stormed on a few different things that can be done, and I challenge other brands to do the same. At Chèvre We Will Be Blacking Out Our Website and Efforts to Support #BlackOutTuesday and #BlackLivesMatter. We will also be adding A “Community” page where we will constantly update our supporters on Effective Ways to Protest, Petitions to Sign for Change , Nonprofit and Local Organizations to Donate to, and a constant update on voting deadlines and etc. ; Chèvre will also be releasing “I Can’t Breath” , “Black Lives Matter” , “No Justice No Peace” and a few other mask to support different causes that effects Black Lives Daily.

50% of Each Mask Proceed will be donated to the supporting organizations i.e. The George Floyd Memorial Fund , Black Lives Matter , National Bail Out Fund etc. and the support organization will be listed in each product description accompanying a link to donate directly to each organization.

We will also be creating A Donation Page which will be available at checkout, we believe this option gives customers the flexibility to donate any amount to Chèvre Specifically or an organization of your choice without the requirement of making a purchase. Proceeds will be donated every 2-3 days. Each percentage that the company receives will be utilized to help us continue to grow as a brand. Frequent Updates will be available for customers on the amount raised and donated weekly.

Our CEO also works with Behavioral Challenged Youth 40+ Hours A Week on techniques and coping skill they can use to better and further themselves in life. He and Our Team will also soon begin Speaking Engagements at Schools in Rural Areas and Schools with High Minorities Percentages explaining the importance of education and how it has impacted us as First Generations College Students and So Much More which has came to a Sudden Pause due to COVID-19.

YOU too can Make A Change as well by simply Retweeting and Sharing any media/information pertaining to Social Injustices, By Donating to Non-Profit Organizations, Bail Out Funds, By Simply Signing petitions for change, and most importantly by VOTING. The Elected Officials I.E Senator, Mayor, for your State and Cities that you may VOTE or Not VOTE for create the laws and also appoints the Chief whom hire and train these animals whom fail to “Serve and Protect” us daily.

At Chèvre we aim to never negatively utilize the platform given to us and to never utilize these tragic events and social injustices for our personal gain but merely for the purpose of educating and furthering the growth in OUR communities and We vow to only shed positive light over such situations. While All Lives Do Matter; We have been sent and have researched numerous cases of Police Brutalities, Social Injustices, Violence, Attacks, Unlawful that effects BLACK Lives daily and as a Black Man in America I felt this was highly important to bring awareness to.
